Right there are my parents totally in love. My Grandma holding the dress she made for my mom and my Grandpa taking the pictures.
The day I found my parents wedding film from their 90's wedding changed everything. The camcorder that was passed from one family member to another captured their wedding day as it was happening. Unscripted. Real. I could feel it all. Absolutely overwhelmed with emotion and love.
Why was this film so powerful?
It wasn't forced. It wasn't 'aesthetic'. It wasn't a performance. They were in the moment not pulled out of it. They were able to be present with those they loved deeply.
